Daniel Lacalle, Ph.D, chief economist at Tressis Hedge Fund and author of ‘Freedom or Equality,’ speaks to NTD about the Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s latest moves.
LaCalle says Carney is giving very mixed messages, not committing to an ally with the United States, but also saying Canada won’t make a trade agreement with China. Meanwhile, he’s saying they will stand strong without having the power to back it up. Canada, Lacalle tells us, is shrinking economically due to this untrustworthy rhetoric, when it should be growing apace with the United States.
