Judge Delays Ruling in Trump NY Case; Congress Returns for Lame-duck Session

by EditorR

New York State Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan has paused proceedings in President-elect Donald Trump’s already-decided criminal case, according to a document made public on Tuesday.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog met with President Joe Biden at the White House on Tuesday to discuss the crises in Gaza and Lebanon.

The 118th Congress returned on Tuesday for its final session after a long recess that began in September. It is the first time the Legislature has met since the Nov. 5 election, in which Republicans gained control of the Senate. The House Republican leadership, led by House Speaker Mike Johnson, held a news conference at the U.S. Capitol.
