U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle testified before the House Oversight Committee on Monday on the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. Lawmakers criticized what they called Ms. Cheatle’s lack of transparency, and called for her resignation. The Secret Service director acknowledged her agency’s failures, but refused to resign.
