The Supreme Court today struck down most of President Trump’s tariffs. In a 6–3 decision, the high court ruled that the president does not have the authority to unilaterally impose sweeping tariffs under a federal emergency powers law.

The president is floating an investigation into potential foreign influence over the justices, while saying the ruling actually makes his trade powers “more powerful.”
