Located on the South Bank of the River Thames, the 443-ft-tall London Eye turned 25 since its opening to the public on March 9, 2000.
Its architects, Julia Barfield and David Marks, designed the wheel in their kitchen in the London area of Stockwell—inspired by the turn of the century.
Since its opening, the wheel has welcomed more than 85 million visitors.
The visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of up to 25 miles on a clear day during a full rotation of 30 minutes.
