A federal judge has ordered President Trump to stop collecting race data from public universities as part of the president’s push against race-based policies in higher education. In a ruling Friday, a federal judge in Boston said the federal government likely has the authority to collect the data, but the demand was rolled out to universities in a “rushed and chaotic” manner.
