Steve Yates, senior fellow of national security policy at the Heritage Foundation, said, “It sort of reinforces the idea that this was an operation—the [Chinese Communist Party] was not only poisoning the world, particularly the U.S., but also monitoring how we would react and the health impacts on the target.”
