A 10% baseline tariff will be applied to all countries

President Trump is declaring a national emergency today in response to ongoing economic and national security concerns linked to U.S. trade deficits. Starting April 5, a 10% baseline tariff will be applied to all countries, with higher tariffs imposed on “worst offenders” beginning April 9. These higher tariffs will target nations with significant trade barriers, currency manipulation, and intellectual property theft.

A federal judge on Wednesday permanently dismissed fraud and bribery charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams. The judge also declined to grant the Trump administration’s request for a dismissal without prejudice. Mayor Adams responded to the dismissal, asserting that he did nothing wrong.

Israeli forces have launched a major operation and seized land in the Gaza Strip, while hundreds of residents from the territory have flown to Germany.
